Power Level
The Home station’s charging speed is determined by your car’s onboard charger. Consult your vehicle manual. You may also need to upgrade your panel. Check with a certified electrician. (Be sure to show them the installation manual.)
32A
- Charges up to 6X faster than a standard 110V outlet
- Delivers up to 40km of Range Per Hour (RPH)
- Won’t deliver maximum power if your car has a slower onboard charger
- Requires 240V 40A dedicated service
16A
- Charges up to 3X faster than a standard 110V outlet
- Delivers up to 20km of Range Per Hour (RPH)
- Be mindful of your future charging needs, as your next vehicle may be able to charge at a faster rate. Consider the 32A version
- Requires 240V 40A dedicated service
Installation Type
Home can be installed inside or outside. Depending on the model, electrical work may be required. Check the installation guide.
Plug
- Indoor installation only
- Easy to take with you if you move residences
- Installing an outlet generally is more affordable than hardwiring a station. With the right outlet, you can install the station yourself.
- Requires a NEMA 6-20 (for 16A station) or 6-50 (for 32A station) outlet installed ground facing up
Hardwire
- Indoor or outdoor installation
- Installation requires a professional electrician
Charging Cord
The cord has a universal connector that charges any of today’s EVs. You decide which length fits your parking needs.
- 25’ cord provides maximum length to reach the charging port on any EV
- 18’ cord offers good reach and is the ideal length for most homes
- 12’ comes with Home 12 (16A station) only
